Trends

Hi,

So Luke kept you up to date with some trends from Vogue and I would like to take the advantage of this by giving my view on the trends that I suspect will be major this season.

A-symmetrie is a trend you might spot a lot this summer. Not only gives it a nice touch to every outfit, but it’s also a very applicable trend, even for an everyday outfit. For example choose a split up or one- shoulder dress, it just gives that dress the spark it will need this summer.

If you want to be utterly fashionable with that dress then make sure you accessorize it with some fringes, really east-western style but oh so hot. Seen with Roberto Cavalli and Ralph Lauren. And choose for a blue toned dress, every blue is this season great but I would recommend dark blue like Armani did, this is in big contrast with all the white we tend to like to see in summer. Be different, that’s so great about fashion!

Another MAJOR trend is the seventies flared trousers, go for it and don’t be affraid to look hideous because you won’t! Style it up with a silk shirt which is tucked in your high waisted trousers. Finish it up with some big bold- look- at- me glasses and some shining jewelry.

This summer it’s not only white that’s fashionable, but also colorblocking. Choose colours which don’t match at all like Jill Sander did.

As boring as it sounds but flowers will do this summer. A lot of flowers were spotted at D&G fashionshow this spring, but also at Erdem and other British, Italian, Parisian brands.

Love,

Milou

Homespun craft

I was taking a look at the trends for this season at voque.co.uk, the British site of the well know fashion magazine Voque, and spotted a very nice trend; 'Homespun Craft'. This means that this season we are able to walk arround in clothes that seem like we made them ourselves. Or even better: which we really made ourselves.
Beige, camel and pastel colours seem to appear a lot in those 'home-crafted' clothes and since nude seems to be totally in this season as well (when is it not?), you'll catch two flies at the same time if you combine the trends (which is easily done. Most of the shops sell 'nude home-crafted' clothes).
The picture you see at your right, I also got from voque.co.uk

New Beginnings

Now I really have the right to say: long time, no see! And it's all my fault. I was being busy with myself and everything about me, but from now on, I don't want to talk about that anymore. For things like that I have my dairy and for things like the meaning of life, art and philosophy, you can click on this link: http://fridaynightbites.wordpress.com/
Let's go on with more important things, for example; Emma Watsons 'new' haircut. Before you are going to protest; I know it's not so new anymore, but since this blog is not at all up to date, I want to pay a little attention to it.
I admit I had to get used to it, BUT it didn't take long and I really liked it (when I recovered from the first shock). In think it's a good thing she has done this. It distinguishes her more from Hermoine and it makes her look all new, young and happy. It suites her and the start of her new life. And because of this, I want to post a picture in this 100th blog (happy twotimes-birthday Milou!) of Emma and her 'new' hair and dedicate it to new beginnings:
